In 2009, through his Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP), President Obama announced there would be a series of Town Hall Community Discussions in a dozen locations around the US (and territories), in order to create a long overdue National AIDS Strategy. Jackson, Mississippi was on of the locations chosen. We had the opportunity to send five Positive Links members. Click for a summary of their observations.

Meeting with Arkansas Department of Health. Positive Links organized a community meeting at the Jones Center in Springdale, AR on Dec 13, 2009 with Kevin Dedner, the Section Head for HIV/STD/HEPATITIS C. The meeting was a result from the drastic cuts that had been made during the year to the ADAP (AIDS Drug Assistance) program.

August 30th marked the date that positive Links turned four years old! What an amazing four years this has been for the group and what an amazing future awaits. Please make your plan to join us. This anniversary party will be held in the Jolpin Room at the Jones Center located at 922 East Emma in Springdale, Ar. Positive Links has grown from a vision into a reality and is a thriving part of support and advocacy efforts in the region as well as the state. We have many to thank for this momentous occasion from the founder, Chris Hannon to the board of the Center of Equality for their support of his vision, to the members and board of Positive Links for their financial support, continued vision, countless hours of service, and thoughtful direction.
